(no subject)

I have the day off work today because we were all stars yesterday and finished inventory in 9 hours. That seems like a long time, but when you consider that first of all we had to locate and account for every item in our computer system, and then rewrite the entire SIM book (where you list all the products, descriptions, prices, and sku numbers) by hand, you see that 9 hours is really kicking ass. So since I have the day off today, Emily Slye is coming to see me and spend the day here. I called my realtor to see if she's available to show us the houses I want to see, but I don't know if she'll be able to, in which case I'll just drive Emily out there and we'll look at the exteriors. Jeremy has to work so he can't come with us. That's fine, though; it's been a while since I've had a day just with "the girls."

Oh speaking of Emily and houses, she got us the most beautiful photograph for our house. I left it at my parents' house by accident, but if memory serves, it's a black and white (or at least muted color) Ansel Adams print of the Grand Tetons (boobies!) and the Snake River. It's in a lovely frame and it will look perfect wherever we decide to move next.

Tonight after Emily and I are done running around, I am going to the company Christmas party. For some reason, Cheri, my completely loopy owner, decided it would be nice and relaxing for us to go out for a night of paintball...think about this...we work in a jewelry store...we're mostly women and older men...not to mention all the bosses' kids, ranging in age from 4 to 9. I'm curious as to how this is going to go.

So I'm off to shower for this big day ahead of me. Peace.
