Sep. 7th, 2004 07:11 amThe first day of married life was a good one. If someone wants to give me a step by step guide to posting pictures in here, I'll post a few, but right now have no clue how it's done. We finished opening all the gifts that came home with us - lots of great stuff, lots of money...lots of thank you notes to write! Who gave us the bar stools? I know they were from a group of my friends, but I never did see a card. Anyway we put them to use last night ;)
Yesterday morning we got up early and crashed the continental breakfast at my family's hotel. We got to spend a little more time with some aunts and uncles and the like. In general, Lucy is pleased with her new uncle, and he is beyond pleased with her. She is developing quite a personality of her own, and of course, it is SO cute. I love that little girl!
After visiting, Jer and I went to Bridgewater for me to do some learning. After taking roll, Dr. Abshire asked "is there anyone's name I didn't call?" like he always does, then asked, "is there anyone whose name changed since Friday?" I raised my hand, people clapped, I got to tell the story of Brent and the bathroom blunder. Good times.
We came home from school and did what we most needed to do - slept. For four hours. Best nap ever. We watched an episode of Family Guy (excellent wedding gift!), had dinner, drank a little, then crashed again. Being married is awesome, I must say:) But I am married to just the right person, so I'm sure it would be less awesome with someone else. Hopefully Mom and Dad will make it to my house today to bring the rest of our gifts and help us figure out who some things are from. I am still really tired, though, so maybe I'll tell them to wait a few more days. Anyway, I'm off. Peace.
