Last night, [livejournal.com profile] duhpens hosted a Mary Kay product preview for our customers. It wasn't exactly heavily attended, but we had a good time, and I finally got to meet [livejournal.com profile] bigonbnl after reading her journal daily for about eight or nine months now. We gave Gina a makeover, and she went nuts. She's so excited about all the colors we gave her, it looks like she's about to place a hulking order. So that's good. But I shouldn't get my hopes up...hehe. But whatever she orders, I promised her I'd put the order in this weekend, so if any of you want to order anything, now would be a great time. There are some great gift sets, and December's coming, if that means anything special to you (not so much to me, but like most, I'm willing to profit over misplaced religious fervor).

I came home and cuddled with my husband for the rest of the night, fell asleep at the very beginning of the new South Park, and screamed at Jer when he tried to wake me up to go downstairs to bed. I ask, if I'm already asleep, why is it so important to wake me up so I'll go sleep in another place? As long as the first place I'm sleeping is not your face or the bathroom floor, and I'm not publicly naked, what difference does it make? So arguing ensued, and I slept on the couch, just like I wanted to. As an apology for the argument, Jeremy made me breakfast this morning, but I'm not sure if that wasn't just a trick, because they were the worst eggs I've ever had. Since Jeremy is also the chef of the best eggs I've ever had, I have to wonder. No offense, Jer, it's just that they were really dry and really spicy, and those are both the opposites of what I like. But I don't really think he was trying to get back at me. I don't mean to complain about the eggs. I appreciate the gesture. And I appreciate my husband. Lots and lots. I just didn't want to wake up last night.

The day ahead looks pretty good. I'll get a little OT at work, then Jer and I are meeting the Vogens for dinner at Romano's, my new favorite restaurant in McGaheysville (like there are so many). After dinner, Jer and I are going thrift storing, and then back home to work out in the evening. Yay.

Now to work. Peace.

Ever since my CD player broke, I've been listening to internet radio at work, which I've editted enough so that it really only plays a few approved artists. One such artist is Dan Bern, but I only have one of his albums, so I'm not superfamiliar with his stuff. A song of his came on called "No Missing Link," and before I knew it, the line "Aliens came and they fucked the monkeys, they fucked the monkeys, they fucked the monkeys" was playing out of my computer. I was able to skip it, but not before a few strange glances shot my way. Oops:)

"Sit on my face and tell me that you love me!"
Need I say more?
Workday almost over...counting the minutes...:)

Peace.

I brought some work home with me, but since I don't have an adding machine here, I didn't get very far with it. I got about 45 minutes in, which is good. I'll take the OT; but I could've gotten probably an hour and a half if I had an adding machine. Granted, if I do the work without an adding machine, I could stretch it out to several hours...but I'd just have to double check it when I get into work anyway so I think I'll wait.

Jer and I didn't end up going thrift-storing, because I was not feeling so grand after dinner. I also did not go to the gym today...sigh...but I have a busy week ahead of me, so I'm sure to burn plenty of calories, be it in the gym or at work. Hopefully I don't crash this week...I'll be running around like mad between now and the bridge tournament, and I'll get back just in time to start the billing at work - 45,000 bills mailed in three days. And then taking the phone calls and checks from people paying those 45,000 bills. And there are only three of us. Yowsa. Wish me luck.

While I still have some quiet time, I'm going to teach my husband some bridge.

Peace.
