Jan. 18th, 2006 04:42 pmYay! I'm officially signed up to be a DI appraiser at the Jefferson Region competition:) I'm so excited! When I went to the OM thing with Emily last year, I just ached to get back into it. I'm so excited that I'm going to now:) I wish I could go to this year's globals (d2k6?), but I doubt I'd be able to get the time off work. Oh well. I'll have fun at the regional, and I'll see lots of folks from my old DI days. :)
I've been fantasizing lately about starting a cooperative/commune type deal at my farm. We could get a bunch of hippies together, build cob houses (I'm NOT getting over this - I'm going to do it, JEREMY), have a central lodge where we have a main kitchen, yoga space, performance stage, etc...man, it would be soooo cool. And so doable. It just requires a bit of a leap...probably when I get my teaching certificate, I'll go for a job in Nelson and maybe get this project rolling. How cool would that be? So cool, I know. In the meantime - don't forget the camping trip. I'm thinking March 11 might be too cold still, so we'll have to arrange some springier dates, too. More to come. Sigh...sometimes I wish time just went faster...
Like now...when I'm 15 minutes away from the end of the workday. Tick, tock, t i c k, t o c k...
Peace.

Jan. 18th, 2006 09:25 pmIt's time to make a new workout mix. The one I have is fabulous, yes, but I need one with some Jim Boggia. I just went on his website to try to find a way to contact him, but all it has is email addresses for his representation. I suppose I could harass someone I know who might know how I could reach him...*cough*...but I guess that would be kind of not cool. But if someone who knows his email address wants to tell him how much I love him...I'll trade you Nate Borofsky's cell phone number...just kidding. And lose my namedropping upper hand? Never! Hehe:)
Anyway...
I went to the gym tonight. I almost didn't go, because I was feeling really lazy, and I was telling myself, I'm going to get so much exercise tomorrow at the water park...I shouldn't be making myself sore tonight...but then at 7:30, when I'd just finished stuffing the last of a bag of popcorn into my mouth (unpopped kernels, bag, and all - I was hungry), I got to thinking, this is not a healthy choice. So I dragged my lazy ass out to the gym and worked off that damn bag of buttery goodness. I started off on the elliptical machine, then ran on the treadmill for a bit. I wonder if I'll be able to start running - like, real running - with Jer when we're working the same schedules. Maybe...I'd like to start running. If WT can make a marathon runner of himself, I could at least handle my neighborhood.
I think I've finally beaten my asthsma, too. My doctor said it was an adult-onset thing that happened when I gained all the weight I gained when I started the evil birth control patch. I used to need to take my inhaler at least once a day when working out, but I think my general fitness plus yoga breathing has helped me overcome it. It's really been a nonissue ever since I began yoga. :)
Man, I love Jim Boggia. Big thanks to Kerry for the introduction (to both man and music). Anyway...it's bedtime. I know, I'm an old lady.
Peace.
