My life is a roller coaster, albeit a very wimpy and boring one.
My foot, for instance - it gets better, it gets worse, I can walk a little bit, I can't even stand. JUST GET BETTER ALREADY! It's like fucking A Tale of Two Cities. It's bruised, it's healed, it's swolen, it's not, it hurts, it doesn't...

We are going to the pool today. Well, we're going to try the pool today. I hope it's not too crowded with chilluns, cause if anyone rams into my foot, there will be an ass whoopin'.

Yesterday was not all I had hoped, but it wasn't a total bust. Jer mowed the lawn, so I was very happy to have that taken care of - it was such an embarassment :-/ Then we showered and went to Charlottesville for Father's Day lunch with Mom, Dad, and Adrian. We went to CiCi's and had a grand time, although I think the "cooks" are better at the one in Harrisonburg. The one thing the burg has over Cville is greasy food. Figures. Instead of then moving on to Barren Ridge, Jeremy fell asleep on Mom's couch - for a long time. He slept until 6:30, not leaving us much time for visiting, since I *needed* to be home by 10pm for the season finale of my worst guilty pleasure that I am not going to admit to the public. We tried Link's smellphone, didn't have Carrie's number, and never did get in touch with them. We wouldn't have had a lot of time anyway, thanks to Captain Snooze, but we did visit with his great-grandmother and grandmother. Granny (g-gma) is doing so well - we were very pleased. She'd had a stroke a few months ago and everyone said she was really not herself, but she was definitely there when we saw her. She liked Jeremy's hair and I was shocked when she asked me if the Massies that used to live in Waynesboro were my kin. That meant that she knew my name was Massie (at times she's had to ask me to remind her of my name, so the fact that she knew my maiden name was surprising and flattering), and she knew my family, which has been out of Waynesboro for 20 years, but is most likely who she was talking about. She said her son had a crush on one of the Massie girls. I imagine that would have been Coo, but I'm not sure if the ages work out, because Coo is only about 60 now, and Granny is 92, so I'm not sure her sons would have been that young...so maybe it is a different Massie family, but at one point there was a whole slew of my clan there.

We made it home right at 10pm, the show I watched went exactly as I'd hoped, then we watched the Daily Show, which also went exactly as I'd hoped, and I fell asleep.

Today Jeremy is cooking dinner for my coworkers...I'm excited about that;) Yay for forcing vegetarian food upon carnivores. They'll love it.

Peace.
