Jan. 3rd, 2012 09:58 pmI am SO SICK of referees changing the outcome of games by blatantly breaking the rules. The word "indisputable" is in the books because it is the rule. I've seen so many solid plays overturned by horrible reviews, but the one in the Sugar Bowl tonight that cost Virginia Tech the game was absolutely not indisputable. Not even close. I'm really, really sad about this. It's not going to ruin my life or even my week, but I'm going to take a selfish first world moment to be pissed off about a football game.
And then I'm going to be thankful that I don't have to go to work tomorrow -- I was able to move my last day up to today, and I got some really nice goodbyes from coworkers. I'm glad I have the experience of that job, I'm really glad I met the people I met there, and I'm also glad to be moving on. I'm just really excited about what's next for me. I'm excited to go to Virginia next week and see my family. I'm thrilled to be starting a "new" job with my old company and good friends there. And I'm especially happy that I have a few days off to relax right now.
Despite the turbulence and the disappointing football games, my life is kind of awesome right now and I'm not going to take that for granted.
