Yesterday was good, but I can't say I'm all that optimistic about today. The trouble began at 4am, when I was awakened by a combination of pains. My ovaries felt like they were about to jump ship, and my foot had an intense pain at the back of my heel. I had fallen asleep with the brace still on, and it was really digging in at the heel by 4am. I took it off, but it still hurt, so Jer got me some ice and Advil. After several false alarms, I am 100% sure now that my period is here to stay, for this cycle, anyway. It's the first time since I was 14 that I've gone without birth control, so the hormones are a little confused. I'm quite nervous about how it's going to go. So far I haven't been feeling much pain from it, but I have a general sense of absolute ickiness that I never got when I was on the patch. I'm just crossing my fingers that the old curse (those of you who ever slept over at my house in middle school know what I'm talking about) doesn't rear its ugly head.

Anyway, Jeremy said he was getting up right after me, but that was over an hour ago, and still no sign of him. I think he's back asleep probably. We agreed to purchase both washer and dryer, and the sooner the better. We'll probably go shop for a set today. I hate to spend the dough, but I've gotta say I am pretty jazzed about it, in a way. Shiny new appliances:) I'll feel a lot better about doing laundry with a machine I can actually understand, too. When it comes to household chores, I'm like Jessica Simpson - I need it spelled out clearly and foolproof.

Anyway I've got to go wake up my husband. Mom just said we can have the truck and Dad today if we get moving, so I'm off.
