jianantonicToday has dragged. Only seven more work days at the front desk, EVER. Sweet. Kathy laughed when she found out I'd been hired up in admin. Apparently she thinks I'll have a hard time dealing with all the irate customers I'll get. Does she not pay attention at all? Every customer I talk to at the desk is irate. I'm irate because I hate it, and because the only thing I've ever seen Kathy accomplish in my ten months at the desk is a record level of incompetence. So I think I'll be fine. :)
I tried not to slack off today, because I at least want to present the charade that I care about the resort until I'm safely established at my new job. But, alas, I was coloring with hiliters by noon. I also busted out the laminating machine, which I've never used because we're not allowed, but it was all in vain because I didn't have all the necessities for it. I spent the last two hours out of my seat just randomly wandering and chitchatting with Cave and Matt. Matt called me back in his office, and I thought I was about to get reamed, because he was in a terrible mood, but instead it went like this:
Matt: MEG! Get back here!
Meg: Yeah? (a bit frightened)
Matt: Congratulations on your new job.
Meg: Oh...:)
I just hate how I'll have to work both of them for the next month. I have a feeling that will be more trying than working 40 hours of just one of them. But I'll deal. I've got Falcon Ridge! I figure I'll get there by 2 or 3 on Wednesday...it's almost 8 now...that's like, 90 hours. I can get through 90 hours...I'll sleep for about 25 of those, work for 24, and play with Emily at the nut for 5 or six...so I really only have about a day's worth of time that I have to entertain myself. And lord knows I can spend an afternoon on the web.
Anyway...that's all...I might have another update in me later. We'll see.
