jianantonicI had, quite possible, the strangest dream ever last night.
I went to a very prestigious place (in court square) to get my hair trimmed so it could grow faster. When I walked in, there were people in all different awkward possitions on the floor getting their hair cut. I signed up and sat down in a salon chair, pulling up another chair for my feet, just like the two people next to me. The owner of the salon and creator of the technique was going to cut my hair. She was faceless at first, but later turned out to be Kate Winslett. At first I was very comfortable, and then she kicked the chair out from under my feet and told me to crawl under it. She wanted me to pretend the chair was a car high up in a tree, and I was supposed to crawl in and pretend to be trapped. I did, and she continued cutting my hair. When we were almost done, we decided to try a new approach, so I stood up, which allowed me to see into a mirror. I don't even know what my face looked like, but my hair was straight and blonde. And way too short. She'd been cutting several inches off instead of just trimming. In the dream, I never did specify that I was only there for a trim, and she never did ask what I wanted. I started to moan about how it was so much shorter and I've been growing it for three years, so she was going to give me some special quick-growing hair shampoo. For the final stage of my haircut, she wanted me to get into a cage with nothing but miniature pages from her book. They were about the size of a coaster, hard and glossy, and not connected together but rather randomly thrown together in a box. Every page had her (and this is when I realized it was Kate Winslett) picture on it, and the book was more like a stand up comedy routine. The page that I held for the last bit of my haircut was a joke about Jay Leno, but I don't recall it being funny or what it said. I do remember thinking, man, I can't believe she went on his show and they got along so well. I know nothing, dream or awakely speaking, about Kate Winslett or a famous salon owner from downtown Harrisonburg going on Leno.
So that was pretty much the dream. I know, I know, I'm cooky.
Work 7-3 today. I'm off.
