RAB is Sirius' brother. First of all, the initials fit, secondly, he was a Death Eater, and thirdly, he's dead.

I figured Dumbledore would die in this book, but I didn't want to believe it. I'm still holding out hope for him to come back as a ghost to help Harry, but as it was mentioned early in book 6, coming back as a ghost is a shitty thing to do to yourself, really. But Dumbledore is the kind of noble dude who would do that to help Harry...and it might be how Harry gets coaxed into a seventh year at Hogwarts?

I figured Snape was a candidate for the HBP pretty early on, but I wasn't sure it was him until Harry cursed Malfoy. I just figured, potions master...the book was there...it fit.

There is a good reason that Dumbledore trusted Snape, and we don't know it yet. There's probably also a good reason we don't know it. Maybe Dumbledore had Snape under the Imperius curse? Okay, unlikely. But there's more depth to that story, and Snape and Harry will see more of each other, I'm sure.

There's also a lot of significance to the pre-death scene with Malfoy. Dumbledore knew he would die. I think Harry mentioned (or JKR mentioned that he knew) that it was over as soon as he was stupefied...but I could be wrong. Dumbledore could've stupefied Harry for his own safety, but really I think there's got to be more to it than that. I think Dumbledore wanted Harry to hear what Malfoy said (well, of course he did, but I mean I think Dumbledore knew he was going to die and intended Harry to hear Malfoy's explanation first). Now that we've seen Malfoy's weakness with dark magic, he may play a very different role...maybe he and Snape both, who knows?

Anyway, here's the deal. I came up with all these theories and whatnot on my own. I've decided I don't want to talk about it with other people; I just wanted to voice my own thoughts and let it be known what my theories are. I'm not reading others' theories, I'm not allowing comments, and I'm closing my ears to any talk of it. What I enjoy most about the series is how captivating the mystery is. I don't want anyone else's thoughts to guide my own. I want to be proud of myself for figuring things out on my own and such. And please, STOP TELLING JEREMY THINGS. The fucker hasn't even read any of the books and he already knows the ends of all but book 4. So, no talking around the Taylors.
That is all.

Peace.
