Today started off slow, but ended up getting busy toward the end. I've just finished my day's work with 20 minutes to spare. I've usually got about an hour left when I'm done, but I made some mistakes and had a lot to fix this afternoon. Oops. Well, I'm done now anyway. When I was on the phone a second ago, my boss just came up behind me and gave me a big hug, and said "I haven't talked to you all day!" She didn't realize I was on the phone, I guess. I was quite flabbergasted, but in a good way. When I took the transfer up here, everyone at the front desk was like, "Beware of Tammi Silver! She's a hardass!" but I don't find her that way at all. I found her a little distant, but not harsh or anything. But then she gives me this random hug. I guess she likes me:) We are both vegetarians:) The thing is, the front desk managers can warn me about not liking her all they want - do they realize I don't like them? Heh. Well, I think I've found my niche at the nut for now. I really like all my coworkers (even though one of them annoys me a bit - she's nice, anyway), and I like my job, and I don't get yelled at by stupid assholes all day - just sometimes;) Like this afternoon, I took a call that really ticked me off. First of all, a woman called to dispute a balance of 97 cents. Not even a dollar and she was up in arms. It's like, you were a month late with your payment, be glad we didn't get to the $25 late fees by the time you called (finance charges are automatically applied, but late fees are done manually and take a few days past the actual due date). She was the kind of person who asks a bunch of questions, and then when you start to answer, she interrupts you before you get your first word out to bitch more. I think we all know that my number one pet peeve is being interrupted. That's why I love electronic communications so much. I can get my whole thought in and press send when I'm done. I'm a smart person. Witty, too, from time to time. My input is valuable, thankyouverymuch. Anyway.

Someone remind me to write about the Darth Vader call I got last week. I've been meaning to post it but I'm afraid it won't translate well to print. Nevertheless, it's funny.
