Aug. 14th, 2005 06:42 pmI'm done! I'm done, I'm done, I'm done! I just woke up from my celebratory nap. Jer was still sleeping when I got home shortly after 3, and I was a bit tired myself, so I crawled into bed with him, not expecting to sleep, but only just waking up. I may not even have woken up except that my tummy is growling.
The last day at the front desk could not have dragged on more. It wasn't a terrible day, though I do think people were ruder on the phone. Given that it was my last day, and everyone else was so busy they weren't listening to me anyway, I took advantage of the opportunity to be rude back and use a fake name. I wasn't as rude as I would like to have been, because Jan still does my evaluation this year, but still, it felt good to say things like, "If you would stop interrupting me and yelling at me, you would already have the answer to your question," and to hang up on people. I hung up on a lot of people today. Heh.
Jan and Chris were both praising Jeremy, while at the same time bashing all the other new people. "We have too many new people that think they know what they're doing, so they don't ask questions, and then they screw up big time."
"Yeah, but you know who's really doing a great job? Meg's husband..."
I'm so proud:) And he really likes his night audit crew, so I'm pleased.
Right now, Jer is making eggs for dinner. We were going to go to a movie, but we're both so tired and lazy, we decided to stay in. Maybe we'll go rent a movie. Or watch something we already have. We'll see. I know this kind of discussion with myself makes for a very exciting journal.
Peace.
