The day is picking up. It's still gloomy outside, and nothing particularly wonderful is happening at work, but it's a nice, quiet day, and I'm listening to Dar Williams, which is just very appropriate for the moment. I've had steady work but nothing overwhelming or difficult. Everyone is in a decent mood. The managers are out for the weekly management meeting. My candle smells good. I smell good. It's a bad hair day, but I managed to pull off a half ponytail. Things could be a lot worse. `Jer has the whole day off, so he's running some errands right now and then we'll hang out tonight. I'd kind of like to go see a movie, but theater popcorn and soda would be a little counterproductive to my workout. Though I could go home, do yogalates, then change and go out afterwards, since I'm off at five and the showtimes are all around 7. I'll talk it over with Jer. We can't decide if we want to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Wedding Crashers, or Must Love Dogs. None of them got great reviews, but both of us like cutesy movies (that aren't teenybopper flicks), so the reviews aren't really an issue. Any suggestions? I also want to see March of the Penguins, but I'm not in the mood for it today. I want something lighter. Has anyone seen any of these? Cheers? Jeers? Lemme know.

It's almost lunchtime. Things pick up around here after lunch, because we get a lot of calls from other folks on their lunch breaks, then I do the credit cards and the books, which will take until about 4. Then I poot around for the last hour. Anyway it goes by fast, and I'm going to fix lunch now before the phones start going nuts.

Peace.

I really enjoyed Charlie and the Chocolate Factory--it's got a different feel from the book (more psychedelic?) but lots of the dialogue seems to be lifted straight from the pages, which is excellent. A bit of a weird quasi-Freudian (?) side plot about Wonka's childhood, but other than that true to the story. And I am in love with the guy who plays Grampa Joe--he was in Waking Ned Devine (which is an excellent movie that you should see immediately if you haven't already), despite the fact that he's like a hundred and thirty.

So. I liked that one.

I also want to see the penguins.

We didn't go to any movies, but I think we'll go see Charlie next...maybe you and I could see March of the Penguins this weekend?

Ooh, that would be fun!

What time is the Robbie show tomorrow night? ^^; Want to meet just before that and get beadage? And possibly have dinner if time and money permits.

I can't get to downtown until 6 at the earliest. Is Studio Baboo still open that late? Late, heh. If not, I'll get them on Friday. But I'll call you on your cell as I'm nearing town. Jer and I plan to get dinner on the mall somewheres...
