For my first day off in over a month, yesterday sure as hell was tiring. I got up around 7 and readied myself for my trip to Charlottesville. I stopped by the front desk on my way out to say hi to Darlene, since she's been out for the last six weeks, and didn't even know I'd gotten the new job. I arrived at Emily V's house right around 9, talked to her parents some, and then headed downtown, with a pit stop at Hardee's. It's good to have a greasetastic breakfast every now and then. We got to the downtown mall just as Studio Baboo was opening. We picked out beads for Emily's maid of honor jewelry, spent a lot more time and a bit more money just browsing, browsed the downtown mall street vendors, and headed back. I dropped Emily off at Tae Kwon Do and met my mom for thrift storing. I got two dresses and a suit. I then met Adam for our business meeting with Paul. We went to a new restaurant called West Main. It was tasty, but the service was s l o w and forgetful...no biggie. We played 5 rounds of cutthroat pool. Adam won the first two by riduculous dumb luck, and I won the last 3, nearly running the table in the final game. Then it was back to Mom's, where the plan was to drive separately to the new Target, and I would take my car on home from there. However.

The new Target SUCKS. Way overhyped. The selection sucked, the staff sucked, the layout sucked - so we left. We left my car there and Mom drove me to Belk, where I wish we'd had more time to shop, but Mom had ants in her pants about getting home for dinner with Dad. This kind of annoyed me because she kept holding us up going through things that I'd already told her I wasn't interested in. I hate that. But I shouldn't complain too much because she did buy me some nice things. I got three shirts and a slip for under my new dresses. I still didn't get nearly as much as I honestly needed - I need some good button down shirts to go with brown and black slacks. Sigh.

I decided to go out to eat with Mom and Dad since it beat driving home on an empty stomach to a house that has no food in it anyway. We had the Chinese buffet at The Great Wall, which was okay for a free meal. Again, not complaining. They took me back up 29N to get my car at Target and I got on the road for home. I immediately got that lovely old feeling of imminent bowel failure (thanks, Hardees). I was lucky to make it to the Sheetz in Ruckersville. I'm sorry to anyone who was in that bathroom, or Greene County for that matter, when I arrived. Blame Hardees.

Now I'm home, and I have another full day off ahead of me. I'll be picking up Jer from work in a few minutes and going to church with him, then I'll come back home so he can sleep and make Emily's jewelry. Hopefully I can wake him up in time to go swimming with me at 6pm, but if not, that's okay, I'll go alone. I guess there's some room for relaxation in there, but not a lot...that's okay, it's been a fun couple of days.

Also, look out for Adam's new website. I'm going to be heavily involved and I can't wait. More info as it develops.

Peace.
