Sep. 11th, 2005 04:57 pmMy neighbor's kids are riding their bikes in my driveway. This doesn't bother me, except that I've lived here almost two years, said neighbor also works at Massanutten, in the same building as Jeremy (and formerly myself), and she's never introduced herself. We introduced ourselves on the first week that we moved in. It went like this:
"Hi, I'm Meg, and this is my fiance, Jeremy. We just moved in across the street."
"Oh."
One of the other neighbors said they didn't speak much English and were shy, so I let it go. But come on. Don't let your kids bike through my yard without at least saying hi every now and then.
I want to play tennis. I'm hoping my foot will hold up for it. Obviously, if it starts to hurt, I'll stop playing. I'm just saying I hope it doesn't bug me so I can keep playing. First I need someone to play with me. Jer, now working 40 hours at the nut and with one week to go at RT, is out of the question until next week. I don't know of anyone else around here who plays. I'll ask Gina if she's interested. I'm going swimming today, though. Not working at the front desk, I don't have any idea how full the resort is these days, but I figure the pool won't be so swarmed since we're into September now. Plus it's a Sunday night. Here's hoping.
Peace.
