Another good day on the healthy lifestyle front...

I didn't cheat at all today, either.
Breakfast: hummus on a cinnamon raisin bagel and a side of grapes.
Mini-lunch #1: Giant red delicious apple.
Mini-lunch #2: half a bagel with hummus and a side of carrots
Dinner: veggie burger with a side of brown rice pilaf (rice with a little bit of cheese, tomatoes, and peppers). That's right. I ate tomatoes. Write it down.
The only thing I had to drink today was water. So far I've had 6 cups. I would've had more at work, but we were really busy, and every time I'd get up to pee (about 856 times today), I'd come back and have four or five messages on my phone.

So I'd say I'm doing quite well. We went to Costco today, got the AMEX card (yay for having good credit!), and pretty much bought everything in there that was both healthy and something I was willing to eat. Sooooo many vegetables. And they had clementines, which Food Lion did not, so I was excited. I love clementines. We bought little mini-bottles of OJ and V8, too. For some strange reason, I drink more if I drink out of small containers. Fill a Nalgene, and I might drink half of it in a day. Give me the same drink in a child's sippy cup, and I'll drink six of them in a half hour. I don't know why that is, but it is the way it is, so I guess I'll stick with a winner. Plus, the small bottles are way cute.

Right now I'm doing laundry, and Jer and I are gearing up to move some furniture. It's funny how you're more productive when your diet is healthier. It makes sense, though.

For those who may be bored to pieces by my recent journaling, I'm sorry, but it is my journal;) It's just that I have to really focus or I'll fuck it up, so thanks for all the support you're giving me, and for keeping up with my long, boring entries and such. I really appreciate it!

Now for some other news.
My mom got all her test results in. She's healthy as can be:) I'm so happy for her. She was really scared after what happened to Jim, but she's worked hard to get healthier over the last year, and her cholesterol is down 40 points, among other things. Jim is out of the ICU, but still in the hospital. His 66th birthday is tomorrow. He's getting better slowly (but faster than most), which is frustrating for him, but good news in the grand scheme of things.

Julie's surgery was today. No word yet on how that went, but all accounts indicate that she caught it early and should be able to make a speedy recovery. They are hoping to get back on tour in four weeks, which I feel is unlikely, but if they can at least consider it, that's certainly optimistic.

Now time to post something else in a friends-only post...

Peace.
