I'm still quite tired, but a little more awake than I was before. I'm a bit sore, and could still use a good two hours of head down on desk time, but that's not likely to happen. We're not too busy today, except that the calls are starting to come in from people paying off their collections. We sent accounts to collections on Thursday and Friday, and dozens of people have called in today to pay off the full amounts, because the collectors have already called them. If they're so willing to pay the full amounts the day they go to collections, why couldn't they pay before the accounts were delinquent and their credit was severely damaged. Seriously, folks.

Donna tells me she'll be at the Tracy concert this Saturday. That makes me happy, because I'm thinking I'm probably going alone. Donna's working merch, so I probably won't get to sit with her the whole time, but still, yay for seeing her:) If you're one of the Charlottesville types, please plan for this concert - Tracy is a huge favorite of mine, and she's not well known in the area, so we need to get the masses to the music. She's great. I think you can hear sound clips at her website. www.tracygrammer.com. Read her story, too - it's so beautiful. Camm, Erin, Emily? I'm talking to you. Maybe I can drag my mom to this one. She really would like it.

*YAWN* Man oh man I am so effing sleepy. I want to go to the gym tonight, but that may not happen. We'll see...

Peace.

I think they just didn't believe they would *actually* get taken to collections. Silly people.

I don't know about that, either.
Here's the thing. The fees are due the same time every year. It's in their contract AND a separate form they sign at closing. Then we send them a bill a month and a half before the due date, with the billing schedule on it (Due: 7/1, 8/1 late fees applied, 9/15 collections). Then they're billed AGAIN ten days after the due date if they still haven't paid, and we send them a lovely, threatening late notice. Then they're billed YET AGAIN when the late charges are applied. Each of the bills / notices we send them states that if they call and set up a payment plan, they won't be turned over, even if they can't pay in full. And half these people have been turned over before, too. Why fuck yourself over like that?

Saturday, 8pm(?), and probably $10 but also not sure about that.
www.gravity-lounge.com will have the info.
Oh yeah, it's at the Gravity Lounge:)
If you need/want a ride, I'll pick you up, but you'll have to hang out with me downtown before the show...;)
