Yesterday didn't end up all bad, but it sure seemed like it would. Jer was trying to cheer me up when I got home. He apologized for being a butt, and we mutually agreed that we didn't want to go to yoga...I just had zero energy and wasn't interested in putting on my tightass workout clothes when I just wasn't feeling that into myself. Instead, we went for a nice long walk around the resort, and then Jer took me out to dinner. After dinner, we stopped by Ben's and hung out with him, Kristen, and Kyle. Kyle makes me want to ride my bike all the time. He's a hardcore bike boy, and he's a pretty rad dude from what I know of him. The story of "my" bike is a long one. My real bike got taken away by property management when I had my old apartment, because we weren't supposed to keep them outside. I figured it was a hollow threat, but I was wrong. Then when Dom was staying at our house uninvited, he brought his bike and chained it up on my porch. When he left, he left the bike. Long story short, he's not getting the bike back, but I don't know the code for his lock, so before I can ride it, I have to either sit there for hours trying different combinations - quick, Emily (or someone else who would be eager to figure this out) - how many combinations of 4 numbers are there? Kyle says he has a tool that can cut it, but in the two months I've known him, neither of us has made an effort to get it cut.

Anyway...when we came home, I sat down to some Nintendo. Paul really got me jazzed about playing again. Then Ray came over to move more stuff in. He and Jeremy watched me play for a while and decided I am "leet." Jer says that's a good thing, but I know it's a reference to geekspeak, so I told them they had to stop calling me that or they can't live in my house. Now, I am a total geek and I admit that, but besides some basic Nintendo and Sims, I'm not a gamer. Jer argues that playing bridge makes me a gamer. I say that makes me a competitor. And a genius...;) I am pretty cocky about my bridge skills. But only around non-bridge players. Hehe.

I'm trying to have a positive outlook for today so it's not like yesterday was, but I already started off on the wrong foot. My office is less than two miles up the mountain from my house. It's usually a three minute drive. Today, it was ten. I got behind a school bus, then a tractor. I think on my all-time list of pet peeves, getting behind tractors on the road has got to be in the top five. #1 is getting interrupted, #2 is bad grammar...well...this is not me focusing on positive things, now is it? Time to go.

Peace.

Ten to the four; or, 10,000. Woot?

Being caught behind bikes is also bad. :-( Stupid suicidal people who bike on Earlysville Road!!! What the hell are they thinking?

Also, playing bridge does not make you a gamer. The word has very specific connotations, and bridge is not one of them. So there. ;-)

That many, huh? Dang. Maybe I'll do a few numbers per day until I get it. I'll start at 9 though, because I think it is unlikely he'd start with a zero. How long do you think this might take?

A Tractor at Massanutten?? Doesn't the omnipient POA have rules against that, too? lol

(be glad you don't live over here then. first you get behind a tractor, only to pass him and get behind a buggy)

The tractors go with the timeshare contruction. Not a farm tractor, though we did have some cows get loose on the mountain and block Resort Drive for a while last weekend.
