I think that if Roberts is an honorable person who gave truthful answers at
his confirmation, then conservatives are going to be massively disappointed
with him. He will be slightly to the right of Kennedy, but not overturn
abortion. He will also be more suspicious of presidential power (e.g.
enemy combatants) than other conservatives. He could just as easily turn
out to be a Souter.
Sounds good to me. I'm still confused as to why Bush nominated him.
