Sep. 7th, 2003 12:23 amThe oven burnt my fake chicken to a crisp this evening, after my mouth had watered for what seemed like an eternity waiting for it to be ready. So I gave up after that, nuked a new one, and turned off the stove. Much to my surprise, five hours later, I return to the kitchen to find the stove still on. Bugger. So after Andy and I fucked with it for a while and determined that it was out of order for real, I had the brilliant idea to flip off the circuit (rather than Andy's idea to call the fire dept...hehe) and here I am again in the room.
I purchased and watched "Bowling for Columbine" today. It was a fantastic film, and it seemed to grab the tears from inside my head and literally pull them out one by one over time. This was interesting, since the actual Columbine shootings never really moved me one way or the other. I mean I always thought it was terrible that it happened, but I'm not one to get all weepy just because the media puts all the sad news in the lead stories. I guess I'm kind of desensitized by the news...but any other form of media and I'll get really emotional over the smallest things. Anyway.
It's kind of a bad night right now. I have to go I guess.
Peace.
