I swear, the housekeeping staff must come in here just to fuck me up. When I got here, my phone cord was tied in knots. Lots of knots! I did not do that! Furthermore, the crumbs from my granola bar are not on my desk as I left them (oops), but in my keyboard, which WAS tucked UNDER the desk. I think they must just come in here, play with our shit, steal our pens, and move our papers around. There is no evidence of any cleaning in this office. Sigh.

Hehe, silly cleaning people. Do you have one of those little air-blower things? Good for cleaning keyboards.

I talked to my mom about the home equity thingy. She says it's a good idea IF you can afford all your payments whether the townhouse rents or not. If you can't cover your bills without this new potential source of income, then it's not worth it. She suggested just getting a new mortgage to buy the new property, so at the very least if that falls through, they don't foreclose on your HOUSE (primary residence).

She was also pretty skeptical of home equity loans taken out to buy a car or go on a vacation, so I dunno.

Anyway, that's just a quick little sound bite. She said you're more than welcome to call her if you want to discuss it in detail. :-) You've got the number here.

Haha...well, for parental financial advice, I'll start with my own parents, but tell her I appreciate the input. It's always good to have a variety of sources.
