Joy of joys!
Oct. 18th, 2005 01:28 pmI found someone to do my hair, and it's not going to cost $200, which is the quote I got from the only other person in town who was willing to do it. I'm going tomorrow. I should take some before pictures tonight and then get some side by side comparisons up after I get it done. Still, though, don't have a clue how to post pictures. But I'll figure something out. I'm so excited:) I only made eleventy jillion phone calls, after all.
I tried a new yoga video last night. It was vinyasa style, and it was just a little too fast for me, because I wasn't previously familiar with a lot of the poses, nor am I adept enough to move so quickly from one to the next. I think I'm going to wait a while before I try that one again. I did get some great exercise yesterday, though. Jer and I played tennis (although we were so bad, you could hardly call it that) for an hour, then after failing at the yoga video, I did my old favorite yogalates video instead, and I felt pretty good after that. I'm still interested in some more variety in my workout video collection. Does anyone have any suggestions for good yoga videos? I'm set for pilates. Any other suggestions of things to do that won't aggravate my foot?
I've also started weighing myself daily, as the numbers on the scale are getting gradually less depressing. I was quite pleased that even though I totally pigged out this past weekend (bridge tournaments always have the best brownies!), I'm still losing weight. I actually ate far fewer sweets than I normally would have before last month, but I still felt like I probably had too much. But it's good to know that one bite of chocolate isn't going to send me on a downward spiral. Still, don't offer me any chocolate for a while, please.
Time to run some credit cards. Peace.
