On a lighter note...
Oct. 30th, 2005 12:05 am"As I was walkin' - I saw a sign there
And that sign said - no tress passin'
But on the other side .... it didn't say nothin!
Now that side was made for you and me!"
This is a verse from Woody Guthrie's "This Land is Your Land," written way back in the 1940's. This song was rated by some group that rates songs as the number 5 best song of all time. This is what Ellis Paul told us, anyway. Anyhow, we all sang it in school, I'm willing to bet. If we didn't, our parents did. But this verse was editted out of most school materials because it was just too damn commie. But really the whole song is pretty pinko, so the joke's on the censors.
Peace.
