Dec. 4th, 2005 08:00 amI didn't sleep much last night, because I couldn't go to sleep before I finished reading Pride and Prejudice. It's a long book, and I wasn't necessarily close to the end, but I just couldn't put it down. I heartily recommend it if you haven't read it. It will piss you off, warm your heart, and make you laugh out loud. I'm really looking forward to seeing the movie now. I know it won't be as good, but, Keira Knightly - yum! :) In reading the book, I found myself more wrapped up in it than perhaps any other book I've ever read. I just loved it.
What I did not love was the football game I watched last night. That would be the Virginia Tech game, but Bridgewater played yesterday, too, and got their asses kicked. Something like 46-7. Ouch. Granted, they've been the Cinderella team of this year's playoffs, but I still had a glimmer of hope that they could go all the way. Shucks.
Anyhow, it's back to the bridge tournament now for one more day. I hope the weather holds out long enough for me to get over the mountain in ice-free conditions.
Peace.
