We're slow at work today, which is a good thing, because three people in the office are out for various reasons. I just finished my lunch and I'm kind of waiting for work to pop up - but not waiting too anxiously, of course;)

Last night, I went to the gym for the first time in...too long. I guess it'd been a week or maybe a bit more. I'd had that awful cold, and then it was just a matter of motivating myself to get back. After doing laundry last night, I had a clear view of the bathroom scale, which had previously been obscured by the dirty clothes. I decided it was time to get back in business, and I went to the gym after load #3 of laundry. I was the only person in the gym last night, which was nice, because I wasn't feeling the need to impress anyone. I took it easy on the elliptical for a little more than 20 minutes, then I eyed the treadmill. I never run on treadmills because the impact is a little too much for my foot, and I'm not a good runner anyway. I can go pretty fast for a good long time on the elliptical, but not when it's real running. But I figured no one was there to make me self-conscious, so I'd give running a shot. I got on the treadmill and started a moderate jogging pace. After a few minutes, my muscles were really tight, so I walked for a bit, then ran again...overall, 15 minutes of run/walk on the treadmill. It wasn't nearly as difficult as I'd expected, so I think I'll try to work the treadmill into my regular workout routine. Tonight is yoga night, though. Yay:)

Okay, kinda busy now at work. I'm outtie;)
