Dec. 17th, 2005 08:32 pmIt's only 8 o'clock, but I'm about ready to turn in. It's been a wild day. I didn't sleep much because I was so pumped about the water park. Emily and Chris came today to experience it for themselves, and we had a blast. My legs are sooooo sore from all the running up to the tallest slides. I counted. It's six flights of stairs to get to the top. Yowsa. Definitely got my workout today:)
They treated me to Romano's in exchange for all the water park goodness I provided them. It was a fantastic trade, and I had a really fun time. They dropped me off at home after that, and I decided to spend the day shopping. I wasn't in much of a shopping mood when I went to the mall on Wednesday, but I was a woman on a mission tonight. I found everything I was looking for and got great deals on it all, too. I ran into an old friend in the mall and had a blast catching up - all in all, a superb shopping experience.
Unfortunately, I had to go to Walmart for one thing on my list. On my way out of there, I was stunned to see what they had in the impulse-buy lane. Not Christmas crap, not gum or pens - Nyquil. Fucking cough syrup in the impulse buy lane. We know you're not sick or you wouldn't have needed prodding or sale prices to buy this item, but why don't you just buy it to get high? Even the people who buy it to get high don't need to be reminded to buy it. It's like Walmart is a bunch of pushers. Meh.
Well, I need to go scavenge for dinner. Peace.
