Dec. 19th, 2005 08:15 amNo sense in going to work early today because we can't get OT this week. Not that we're not allowed, it's just that we get a paid holiday on Friday and we'd have to work more than eight extra hours in order to get paid for any OT. No thanks.
I'm still ridiculously sore from the events of the weekend. Seriously, I can't lift my arms over my head without intense pain. I don't know if I'll be able to go to yoga on Wednesday if I'm still sore. But that's three more days, so I hope my body is a better healer than that.
Seeing my family yesterday was wonderful. I think our gatherings used to last longer when we were little. Now the kids in my generation have moved farther away so that they have to leave earlier and we don't get to hang out as much. But one of my closest cousins, Laura, has just moved to DC from Boston for law school at Georgetown. That's right. I have a brainy family:) Anyway, she goes to Falcon Ridge and we're into all the same stuff, so I'm really glad that she's so nearby. Her superfantastic boyfriend John Linn is moving down in January, too. He's bumming hard about leaving Boston, so I'm making it my mission to show him all the best parts of the south. Hey, it's a red state, but I do love it here. Anyway, we're lining up hikes and concerts and all that. John Linn loves Girlyman - he wouldn't shut up about them yesterday, actually - so we're talking about maybe pooling some cash to do a house concert. I <3 Girlyman!
Anyhow, I should get ready for work now. Peace.
