Partial Success
Jan. 20th, 2006 11:17 pmWell. I accomplished my main goal, which was to not flake out on yoga. I was dead tired going into it, and my flexibility was worse than usual, but once I got going, it was actually a great class for me. I felt good the whole time - really good, actually. I modified a lot of the asanas that I usually don't, but it was okay. Meredith wasn't there, but I hadn't talked to her beforehand, so I wasn't sure she'd be coming anyhow. I'm actually glad I didn't know she wasn't going to be there, because had I known that, I probably would've excusified my way out of going. But all's well.
Jer and I went to the mall afterwards and talked to Dave, who recommended some good running shoes for me. Dave's rad. I'm proud to have him filed in my history of been there, done that. It was only recently that I ran into him again after a long communication void. Yay for that. Maybe it was payback for hanging around one of my exes, but over dinner, Jer just had to bring up the time he spent the night with Lucca. Lucca is living proof that all a girl has to do to get some is become a gamer. I'm glad I didn't know about Jeremy's involvement with her until after I'd fallen for him. I may never have been able to look past that otherwise. Anyway.
I didn't get shoes yet, because the people at the athletic store were a bunch of buttheads and I didn't have time for them to dick around, so I'm going to go shopping tomorrow when I have more time. I also didn't go throw my temper tantrum at the bank yet, because I was slow to get moving. And now that I don't have anywhere to be tomorrow, I'm able to stay up late. It's a pain how that happens.
I fixed a major problem at work today that no one else in my office could figure out. It's not an interesting story, so I won't tell it, but it was something to be proud of, so I'm gloating.
If it's beautiful tomorrow like it was today, I'm very excited about the weekend. Well, I'm glad it's the weekend no matter what the weather brings. I'm happy.
Peace.
