When I was in the fitting room at Old Navy tonight (I remember now why I never shopped there...), I overheard two girls talking about going to Club 216, the local gay club. One girl said she wanted to join, but it was a lot of money. The other girl said "Don't you have a military ID? It's free if you're in the military!"
Does that seem ironic to anyone else?

What's even funnier is that '216' is the area code for Cleveland (mine until I was about 18, then the suburbs got their own area code).

My maiden name is P e t r a u s k i s. When I was doing an interneship at the Cleveland Clinic in college, I had a computer log on. It was 'petrauc.' My then boyfriend was all, 'Wow, that' sounds like 'Pee Truck.' I told my college friends, and well, it stuck.

I never have a problem finding usernames. ;-)

I would've thought, "petrauc - ah, pet rock!" I would now say something like, "guess your bf's mind is just farther into the gutter than mine," but since I know that's NOT POSSIBLE, I won't say it;)

Are you kidding? Military guys are ripped. I can totally understand why a gay club (assuming the patrons are mainly male, which may be a false assumption) would want a lot of soldiers milling around--even if they're technically unavailable.
