I don't want to jinx it

...but I'm very excited about the house we found. And technically, it's not a house, but a condo. A brand spankin' new one. Okay, again, technically, not brand new - but newly renovated from the inside out. In downtown Charlottesville. For a great price. Because the neighborhood has a history. But that's where the renovations come into play. The neighborhood hasn't actually been bad for a while (and bad by Cville standards is just your average side street in the 'burg), but the aforementioned history has buyers cautious and prices low. But high enough that we can count on a whole new demographic. So I'm excited about it. Since the renovations are still in progress, they're not available for move in yet - our realtor is going to get one reserved for us, and we don't have to have the dp until later. Huzzah! Time to sell the house we already own...

Now, about this weather. Fuck you, snow! So far, both of today's concerts are still on (it's highly unlikely they'd cancel them anyway), but I have guests coming from far and wide to see these shows. Tickets have been purchased. I'll be happy at both shows regardless, but heartbroken if my friends miss them - I've been looking forward to this day for months now! :(
I've been up most of the night worrying about cancellations - my greatest joy in life is sharing the music I love with the people I love. Don't thwart me on account of a little winter weather! Oh yay, I hear the plow in our neighborhood now. That's a good sign, right? :)

ugh we still aren't plowed. I think I may know where you are talking about and I came so so so close to buying a house there. The incentives are awesome (or at least were three months ago). I know a few of the people moving in and they are all great people.
