Quickie from work

jianantonicApparently now that the cheap prescriptions and penis enlargement markets are dry, spammers are having to get more creative. Checking work email this morning, I had about a dozen offers for at-home colon cleansing. Thanks, but no thanks - I use Nature's Platform:)
The gym last night was fantastic. I got on the elliptical with 13 minutes left in the Duke vs. Florida Sate basketball game. I got off when the game was over - 55 minutes later. What a game, too! Man, that was awesome. My aches know no bounds this morning, but that's okay. I hurt, but I feel good, too. I parked in the usual lot this morning, put on my headphones, and began my walk to the office. About 100 yards down the road, a car pulls up next to me honking - my boss, offering me a ride. :) I declined, and showed up about 10 minutes behind him at the office. He commented on what good time I made on foot and said he admired my dedication to my health, so I couldn't bring myself to have the slice of birthday cake I'd planned on for breakfast. It was an officemate's birthday on Tuesday and I brought a cake (apparently I'm in charge of birthday festivities here). I like doing the cake thing - but five of my nine coworkers have birthdays this month. Two of the others are in July, and my boss and I are the odd ones out with November and April. Anyway, there's going to be a lot of cake this month - or we'll be reassigning birthdays for the sake of everyone's health.
Lastly, I need to bask in a moment of vanity. I woke up early this morning (not by choice, but Chika had a 7am Dr's appt, so her stirring woke me up) so I decided to try blow drying my hair with my extra time. It looks effing fantastic. Even after a walk to work and four hours now it's had to start going crazy, it looks great. I'm probably jinxing myself and it's going haywire as we speak...oh well. Everyone in the office got a glimpse of it looking superb, anyway:) For all my self-consciousnesses, I really do love my long raven locks. :)
Oh, and the biggest YAY of the day - SPRING TRAINING BASEBALL GAMES START THIS AFTERNOON! But Craig Counsell is out for at least ten days with a shoulder injury:( This is what happens when all your favorite players are pushing 40 (or already over 40, like my darling Steve Finley). I <3 Baseball!
