I didn't go to bed right after dinner last night! ;) Adam called me after work and asked if I wanted to hang out...sure...so we were talking baseball, and he asked if I'd ever played in a fantasy league. Sadly, no, I haven't, because as much as I can tell you about the Diamondbacks, or anyone who's ever played for the Diamondbacks, my knowledge of anyone else is pretty spotty - and a fantasy team made up of all Diamondbacks would not have done well in the past few years. So he offered his guidance and set me up in a "casual" league (as opposed to competitive) and helped me draft my players last night. If playing all season is half as much fun as the draft was, I'm going to have a blast. There are 12 teams in my league, and Adam and I looked over all their rosters last night - it really only looks like there's one other guy in my league (I assume that I'm probably the only girl, but maybe not) who has any baseball sense, so he's probably going to be my toughest competitor. Adam says that with him guiding me through it, I'm likely to win by a landslide, but I wouldn't be talked out of drafting Steve Finley, among others of my favorites, much to his dismay. That's okay - I think my team is far and away superior to the others. I'll post my roster when I have more time. Now I have to go to work.
