May. 3rd, 2006 12:43 pmAnother one, so soon? Why, I believe it is. Turns out, I do have things to talk about. To no one in particular.
I have no idea how I got poison ivy where I got it, but I don't know what else it could be. I'm all nervous about it spreading, so I'm trying really hard not to touch anything. Except the keyboard, which will then be lysoled (it's a word) thoroughly. I hope it goes away quickly. I hate itching almost as much as I hate being tickled. Don't tickle me now. My guard is up.
So, I've decided that May is my recommitment month. Not that I've been slacking too much, I just feel like I'm not making as much progress on the path to a healthier Meg as I want to, so I'm going to raise the bar a bit. I'm working out every day - no excuses. And so far this month (all three days of it), I've been doing really well. I had one chocolate chip cookie with dinner last night, but other than that, I've had NO junk food and nothing between meals except a midday apple at work. The short-term goal is to keep this up throughout the month of May. But if I can do it for 31 days, why not forever? So we'll see how it goes. I already feel healthier. And there's a lot of stuff coming up at the end of May/beginning of June that makes me want to slim down and look my best. Festivals, meetings with people I haven't seen for a while, my high school reunion (the ultimate health motivator, right?), etc. I want to be foxy. :-D And healthy. That's important, too.
Okay, I have some things to get back to now.
Peace.
