May. 22nd, 2006 09:33 pmI'm just in from a fantastic workout. I knew I was doing upper body with my trainer, so I did lower body on my own before our session, then she gave me an absolutely grueling workout - we tried all sorts of new things, and I am feeling it like mad now. But it's a good feeling. Maybe Jeremy will rub my back later...
Then when I got home I got a call from Ahren in Raleigh. He confirmed for me that I can stay with him this weekend, but there will probably be some other caddies there with us. We'll see how that goes. It was good to hear from him, anyway. I've been kind of freaking out about this tournament - where am I going to stay? Am I going to be able to work/play? How the fuck do I get there? But all of this is no biggie because I'm totally excited to see my bridge buddies again, including the newly engaged Jay and Darleen! :)
I scheduled another session with my trainer for Thursday since I didn't get one last week. It's been a month since I've seen the bridge folk, so I'm hoping to look noticeably better when I see them this weekend. I can tell the difference, anyhow. The real test will be if any of them says anything (hint: check out my arms!).
Adam took me to a new Indian restaurant for lunch today. It was totally yummy, but we had to endure a moment of discomfort while the owners yelled at each other in Hindi for about 5 minutes. In retrospect, it was really funny. But a little unsettling while we were there. I liked the food a lot, but it was a bit pricey for a buffet, so I don't think I'll be a regular until I'm much wealthier. Tomorrow Adam takes off for the ACC baseball tournament, and I am so jealous. I really wish I could go but it just conflicts with too many other things - like my budget and lack of vacation time at work. I'm also really going to miss my lunch buddy. But hopefully he'll make some connections for me while he's down there. It's a top secret project I'm working on, but if things pan out, I'll talk about it eventually. I just don't want to jinx myself.
Dbacks game starts now - I'm out of here.
Peace.
