jianantonicI just looked over the bridge lesson that I'm supposed to teach tonight for the first time. (I know. Planning ahead really isn't my style.) I am so mad at my mother. This lesson is full of cheesy jokes. Cheesy joke after cheesy joke...also not my style. I'll be glad when this evening is over and behind me...
Actually, I'll be glad when this whole week is over, because at the end of it, I'm taking a train to DC and I'm very excited about that:) I love the train, and this is my favorite annual bridge tournament. Most of my favorite bridge people will be there and we'll do one of Bubbles' treasure hunts - I can't do them justice with an explanation...but I'll try. Bubbles is this supergenius bridge player dude who knows the hotels like he grew up there or something, and every year, he arranges a treasure hunt for us. There's no real treasure, it's just a series of clues that are REALLY FUCKING HARD and they take all night and the first one to finish wins. He even handicaps it so that the clues are in different orders, and the team with the biggest handicap will go from one side of the hotel to the other, while the team with the lowest handicap (mine, because I'm awesome at this, yay), has to run back and forth across the whole hotel for every clue. And this is a giant DC hotel, not your average budget inn on the corner. We all get really into it and it's a ton of fun. So I'm looking forward to that. And playing bridge. Has the caddy schedule come out yet? Of course not. Sigh. Oh well, I'm not sweating it.
