Jul. 27th, 2006 07:33 pmI didn't get to the gym yesterday because I came home and went directly to bed. I was fighting a migraine - I'd never had one before, and I think I could go the rest of my life without another one, thank you. Sleeping helped. I woke up for about an hour between midnight and 1am, but pretty much slept straight through from 5:30 to 7 this morning. It was nice, and I think I may be caught up on the deficit I accumulated at FRFF.
I did make it to the gym tonight. It was my first time back in too long. I thought I'd go easy on myself since I'd been away for a while - didn't wanna make myself sore and shit. But I didn't feel like I was struggling too much, so I just went balls to the wall and had a great workout. I listened to Drunk & Disorderly the whole time - they're this "Irish" drinking band from Minnesota that Ahren's got me into. Great workout music, the Irish drinking song. I did a lower body resistance program followed by 32 minutes on the elliptical machine. I feel good. I guess the time off wasn't so terrible because it's not like I wasn't getting exercise. FRFF was nothing but walking up hills and dancing all day. And I went to the gym in Alexandria when I was there, too. So I'm not a total bum. Just, like, a half bum.
The mini-fridge in our room is really loud. No me gusta.
I know it's not even 8 o'clock yet, but I think I'm going to hit the sack with Ayn Rand tonight and see if I can't get another super long sleep, because that would kick ass.
Peace.
