Because Internet said so
Oct. 13th, 2003 11:25 pmI miss Jer still very much, but watching baseball with Zsa-Zsa was fun enough to divert me. It was especially fun when I made this jewel of a comment:
"If I had a nicorette patch, I'd wear it on my penis! It would help me stop smoking AND peeing!" This, of course, happened because I was drunk. Well, I had 3/4 of a wine cooler, anyway. You might say that's not enough to make a grown woman drunk, but you might disagree if you ever saw me after 3/4 of a wine cooler...which you won't unless I trust you bigtime (yeah Zsa-Zsa) because I'm very paranoid about alcohol and what it does to people. But anyway I'm not drunk anymore because that was earlier. Duh.
Last night I got a phone call from Jeremy's dad saying he knew I was probably lonely and he wanted to check up on me. Aww! I have in-laws that LOVE ME! This would so not be the case had I married any of my exes....
Anyhow Rudy (Jer's dad) and I are going to go to Staunton together on Friday night to visit Jeremy's Grandma and Great-Grandma. I am so lucky to be a part of this family:) It's like all of a sudden I have grandparents again, and another brother, and more parents and aunts and uncles and so on...and I just love family:)
My cousin Maria is such a cute old woman. She's 85ish...not my first cousin...but I think I mentioned that I visited with her yesterday at the farm. She talks about the internet like it's a person. "He got the directions from Internet." "Internet said it might rain." So cute.
I bought Jeremy a really pretty present today. Jer, if you're reading this somehow before you get home, stop now because you're not allowed to know what it is. Anyway I got him a hand-painted silk tie. It's the colors of fall foilage, and I love it. The pattern on it looks quite a bit like the pattern on the wedding bands we're going to get, so I hope it will mean something special to him. I also found the perfect Christmas present for Emily, which is good because she's so hard to shop for...she's like the perfect present-giver and all my efforts pale in comparison. Like for my 18th birthday she gave me a talking photo album with really reminiscent photos and sweet messages and it made me cry. Of course, these days, I cry at the drop of a hat, but back then not so much so it took a really great gift to ellicit this response.
In closing, I do not smoke nor do I have a penis. Also, I think it is good that people urinate from time to time and no one should try to quit.
Peace.
