Whoops. I just stunk up the whole office painting my nails, and they don't even look good. Dang. I had my nails professionally done two weeks ago, and I guess it's my vitamins or something, but they are growing too fast and I cannot afford to get them professionally redone every two weeks. I figured I'd touch them up, so I picked up some cute pink polish at CVS (not QVC) this morning. Well, even though it looks dark in the bottle, and even though I put on 5 coats - yes, that's onetwothreefourfive - it's still sheer and now I think it looks worse. Sigh. Maybe 5 more coats will fix it. If not, at least I'll be high enough from the fumes that I won't give a damn what I look like.

I've been running around the downtown mall and beyond all morning. Today is our interns' last day, and I'm throwing them a goodbye bash. Pizza from Christian's, cake from Albemarle Baking Co, gifts that Vic picked out from Tuel - I'm not taking responsibility for the silly engraving, but I think they'll like them and a good time will be had by all. Yay. Ew, I'm sweaty.

So I'm going to Hunt Valley after work today to bridge it up. I've got a partner lined up through bbo/a friend, so hopefully that pans out and we kick some I/N ass. I'm over 50 points now. The next milestone in sight for me is lifemaster (300 points, in an assortment of required categories). Actually, I should be able to top 300 in another year or so at my current (recently accellerated) pace, but getting the gold points will be tricky. I think I might have to hit up Jeremy F. for those. :)

Okay, time to pick up the pizzas.

What am I chopped liver? Jeff and I got over 25 gold in Raleigh this year. He beat me on total points 'cause he did well in the session of pairs that he played with another of our teammates for the first half of the week. We could always try midnight Compacts in Gatlinburg to get a little.

Yeah but of all the good bridge players I know, Jeremy F. is the only one who will actually play with me when I ask:) You and I keep talking the talk, but we've yet to walk the walk.
