Sep. 1st, 2006 08:26 am3rd place last night, good for half a point or so. Of course, Ahren played in the ZIP KO's and picked up 1.5 just for winning two rounds. It looks like this bet is going to be more difficult than originally anticipated. Our club is having a gold point event on 9/14 - I need to find a partner for this. Gold is the only pigment (okay, besides Platinum) that I don't have yet. I'm done with Red and thisclose to done with Silver. Funny that Platinum (which are not required for life master) is highest, Gold is next, but then Red is higher than Silver. Who thought that up?
Ernesto is apparently hovering over us right now. I don't know what was going on overnight, but in the time I've been awake, it's just been a steady rain - not downpour, just regular raining - since yesterday afternoon. I think people are getting their panties in a twist thinking every hurricane is going to be a Katrina repeat. Seriously, folks, we get hurricanes up here every year, and they always bring a lot of rain and sometimes strong winds but no one was afraid to drive in it before...now all y'all on my friends list are going bonkers about being stuck inside. C'mon, folks, it's just rain. You can handle it.
Some interesting stuff going on at work today. I'm going to host a podcast. To quote the Kool Aid dude, Oh yeah! ;)
Big weekend plans:
1. Sleep
2. Football game w/family tomorrow (hopefully not too wet)
3. LUCY!
4. Little Miss Sunshine
5. MORE LUCY!
6. Nelson County Visit
7. Bridge
8. A little more bridge
9. Sleep
Looks like fun...
Peace.
