I did not get started with my ebay extravaganza last night, because instead I went straight to sleep, and didn't get up 'til the morning. 12 whole hours of glorious, almost completely uninterrupted sleep! Thank you, house contract! I'm still not in the clear, though, so I am still stressed about it, but I'm better now.

Before I went to sleep, I did something else sort of momentous. I cooked dinner for myself, without my mother's supervision. I'm getting really good at cooking eggs and egg-related dishes, but that's about all I can do so far. No worries; I love eggs. Last night I made an egg and cheese sandwich. Shut up, I know it's easy, but it's not easy for me, and it involved a frying pan and stove and actual prowess with a spatula (I still can't flip a fried egg to save my life) and dammit it counts as real cooking!

Also, my dad has a new name, courtesy Holden Buchanan: Poppagramma. Holden has started calling my mom Gramma, and he couldn't remember that my dad's name was Bill, so he just came up with this Poppagramma thing, and Mom and I like it so much that we've started calling him Poppagramma, too. It suits him, don't you think? Hehe.

Eggs are good. And it's protein. yay, protein!

If you can do eggs, you can probably also do a mean grilled cheese, and home fries. Cut up some tiny potatoes in little bits. Melt butter in the pan, put the potatos in, add some salt and pepper and let them fry till they are as toasty as you want them.

I actually have a special grilled cheese appliance thing...it's like a waffle iron except it's grilled-cheese specific. Jeremy used to do eggs in there, too, but I've never been all that experimental with it.
