After conferring with Kevin, we decided that there are better, longer, freer (cause you have to pay $10 per car to get into SNP) hikes on the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is actually even closer to the farm than the national park, so that's what we're doing instead. Kevin's consulting his map but it looks like the winner is White Rock Falls Trail - around 3 miles, moderate difficulty (same as Crabtree).

Anyway...yeah...we've got a week to figure it out...details to follow, but that's the plan as it stands now.
