Nov. 1st, 2006 04:57 pmI'm done with the Killer Spreadsheet of Doom. For now.
I'm trying this new thing at work, where I bring my lunch...it saves a good bit of money, which makes me very happy, but it really makes my day feel about six times longer. Taking an hour and actually leaving the office and socializing each day really helped time fly. But it also required a lot of unnecessary spending on my part, so I'm cutting back on the eating out. I believe it's although quite a bit healthier not to eat restaurant food all the time, even if the alternative is a bunch of spaghetti-o's and easy mac.
I'm having lunch out tomorrow with Adam, but it's his turn to pay for that so it's all good, and then it'll be more microwave pasta come Friday. Considering I've been spending anywhere from $3.50-$12.50 on my daily lunches, I'd say this is a good thing for me. And when I move into my new apartment - SIX WEEKS and counting! - I'll go home for lunch and cook there. I'm expanding my cooking repertoire quite nicely. In the last month I've made mashed potatoes from scratch, all kinds of egg variations, corn pudding, cornbread, and lots of veggie stuff that all I have to do is boil water. I'm getting kinda good at this stuff:) That doesn't mean I enjoy it, though. I'll probably never *like* cooking. But for the most part, if it saves me moolah, it's something I'm willing to try.
Time to go play some tennis.
Peace.
