Nov. 23rd, 2006 12:09 pmThanksgiving is in full swing here at Hotel Massie, so I don't have much time to update, but I did want to take a moment to tell two quick stories before I forget. There's just so much cuteness every moment what with the niece and all.
When Lucy comes to visit in the summertime, my mom always sets up a kiddie pool on the back porch for her. The first thing she did when she got here was run up to my mom and yell "Nana! Where's the pool?!" Nana told her it was in the garage, and she then proceeded to drag her daddy out to the garage to fetch the pool for her. It took a lot of explaining, but she's finally made peace with the fact that you don't swim when it's 30 degrees out.
Okay, the second story involves my cousin Lauren's three year old daughter, Rebekah. Lauren showed me this video on YouTube:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=JDMlt_86Zp0
After having a giggle fit over it, I wanted to share it with another cousin, so I called her in to watch it also. Rebekah wandered up to the screen, and we started to worry. It's not a bad video, per se, but it's something that might traumatize a child. Lauren kept repeating "Rebekah you understand this is just pretend, ok?" so that she wouldn't be too shocked at the end. Now, watch the video. Rebekah was not bothered in the least. When the surprise ending happens, her reaction was a simple "Oops!" Classic.
Bonus Lucy story - when I picked her up to give her a hug this morning, she blasted ass like a pro right on my arm. She truly did inherit every last bit of my DNA.
Okay that's all for now.
Peace.
