Apparently to move my songs from my iPod to my new computer, well, I can't, I have to move them from my old computer, which is pretty much dead, to my new computer, and I'm not sure if that's going to work out. We'll see. After fiddling with my iPod and my laptop for about two hours, I've decided to stop caring for now.

I'm working out with my trainer tonight at 7:30, which is much later than I usually do, and I'm kind of stressing about it. It's just that I'm so tired right now. Oh well...I'll rest when I get home I guess. Oh, and I should do something about getting an internet connection set up there. Maybe I'll do that when I'm done with this. Because, you know, blogging is the most important thing.

...Not that I have anything to say. I thought I did, but I guess I just wanted to bitch about the whole iTunes thing. I could bitch some more, but I don't really have the energy, and I don't want to put that out in the universe.

I want to put a nap out in the universe. *YAWN*

Oh, I can talk about DI. The girls have a really cute idea, which I hope they can develop further, because it's really, really good. Vic warned me (and I've witnessed) that they tend to get very distracted, and they procrastinate. But yesterday at the meeting, despite the frequent tangent, they got a lot done, and they were all really focused on avoiding the tangents. It was cute - they'd start to tell some story or something, catch themselves, and be like, "Oh, never mind! I didn't say anything! So the gadget...!" They're good kids. I'm looking forward to seeing what they bring to the next meeting. I sent them a big long email this morning suggesting a time budget for the next month. Here's hoping they can follow it better than I would....

Peace.

There's an easy way to copy all your songs from your iPod to any computer, but...okay, well, maybe "easy" isn't the way to do it. I'm guessing you've never used Unix or a terminal window? I don't know how Windows handles terminal windows, but I'm pretty sure they can do so. Basically you cd into your iPod and then root around until you find your songs. Mine were arranged in ten or so folders where each folder had a bunch of songs in it--it was really weird.

Brendan can help more, as can anyone with knowledge of both Windows and Unix. Possibly your coworkers.

I know for Macs there are a couple programs out that will just let you copy from your iPod to the computer. I found one this summer with just a couple minutes of googling. So try that too.

I makes no representation about this - I just saw it in a newsletter.
