Jan. 3rd, 2007 06:30 pmOver the course of the weekend, I discovered 10 new gray hairs. Or the same one 10 times...I'm not sure...but in any event I have at least twice as many gray hairs now as I've had since I found my first one at age 17. And they're more prominent than the other ones. Oh well. I don't mind, really. My mom's hair is a really pretty silver color. As long as I get that and not yellow hair, I'll be happy.
Monday and most of Tuesday were spent entirely in the car. We would've been back late Monday/early Tuesday, but Ahren was sure it was 79S we were looking for, when in reality it was 77 we needed. Whoops. That made our trip several hours longer, so much so that we both had to stop to sleep because neither of us could keep our eyes open any longer. We camped out at a rest stop in WV or MD on rt 68 somewhere, but when I could only sleep for about 20 minutes (cars are uncomfortable), I took the keys and drove us the rest of the way home. We arrived shortly after noon yesterday, and neither of us were really tired at that point. After running some errands, we decided we'd go to a bar that night to watch the Wild game. Though I wasn't tired then, I knew I would regret it if I went out to a bar and didn't get to sleep until midnight, so I convinced Ahren to take a nap with me at 4. We planned to wake up at 7 to get ready for the game at 8. We did wake up at 7. AM. Apparently we were both more tired than we thought. But the Wild won 5-1 even though we didn't watch.
Work was crazy today. The days off created a backlog of email, and all I did today was answer email. To put that in perspective, I spend about 30 minutes of my regular workday answering email...so all the other tasks that I didn't get to today will be backed up for tomorrow. Yay!
Well, it's time to play some bridge with my second-favorite partner.
Peace.
