Jan. 11th, 2007 11:28 amI've been so crazy busy this week; it's ridiculous. But things are slowly winding down and I'm finding a little more free time here and there. I'm glad we have another three day weekend coming up; I'm going to take advantage of my do-nothing time. Today, though, is still busy. I'm just taking a wee break right now. (Not to be confused with a weewee break, which has nothing to do with livejournal, unless you're very, very strange.)
I trained with Jen on Tuesday - it was my first time back to the gym in too long, and I'm still sore from that. I signed up for the Body Transformation Challenge at my gym, which officially starts on Monday. They take pictures, measurements, etc...it's like a very intense training program. They give me a diet to follow and I have to write down everything I eat (which I started doing again anyway because I caught myself pigging out a few too many times recently) and consult with a nutritionist at the gym regularly. The program lasts 12 weeks, and I'll meet with Jen at least once per week in that time. It's intense and it won't be easy, and I'm not exactly looking forward to it (the diet is VERY strict), but I'm looking forward to the results. I know I'll follow the diet and workout program though because I'll have so many people to answer to about it. Ahren's been enlisted as the enforcer, too, since I eat pretty much all my meals with him and my number one reason for skipping the gym lately has been to play bridge with him. He's in a good spot to make sure I behave. He gets kicked in the junk for every pound I don't lose. Just kidding.
Last night I was feeling icky, so I didn't go to the gym, but I did do my yogilates video at home. I'll have time to do that again tonight before bridge at the club at 7, so that's on the agenda again. This Sunday, I'm going to Williamsburg for a team tournament, but I'm leaving Saturday and Monday relatively empty - I start the challenge on Monday, so I have my first training session then, and I've got DI that day, too, but mostly I just plan to hang out and relax. Yay:)
Peace.
