Mar. 4th, 2007 07:31 amI definitely need more sleep, but it feels as though I'm awake for good now. I will try to make the most of it.
I've subbed for my mom's bridge class a couple of times, but this afternoon I'm directing my very first game. The Sunday club usually has 5-10 tables of actual bridge players, and I'm just hoping it works out that I can play as well as direct. I'm about the fastest player in the whole club, so it shouldn't be a huge problem. We will see...I wonder how my mom's GNT team is doing in MD this weekend. If they lost yesterday, they'll be back for the game today and Paul may direct the group after all.
Yesterday I hit the gym in the morning, then Ahren and I hopped the mountain to visit with Kerry and Jill, who are staying at Massanutten. I broke the diet for my mandatory when-in-the-valley-you-eat-at-Romano's lunch, which I don't regret in the least. YUM. We also did the water park for a few hours, then on our way out of town, we stopped and caught up with Stephen and Gina.
I think I must be extra hormonal or something because on the way home, for the fourth time in a day, Ahren and I had a conversation where I couldn't get a sentence out without starting to cry, and I don't know what's up with that because actually I'm feeling quite good about things in general these days.
Today, Kerry and Jill are coming over to this side of the mountain to get the Himalayan Fusion experience, which reminds me that I didn't check to be sure they're open on Sunday and holy shit if they're not, I'm going to feel rather stupid about that. But I think they are, because their buffet sign says "Monday - Friday $6.99; Weekends - $8.99." It wouldn't say that if they were closed on Sunday, would it? Fuck, now I'm all worried. And they don't have a website. Fuck.
PHEW. Just checked C-ville Weekly's site - 7 days a week. :)
I'm going to get up and start my day for real now that it's getting late in the morning - almost 8am! ;)
Peace.
