I didn't get to this post yesterday because our internet service went down at work for the whole afternoon, and then I had DI and wasn't home until 8, at which point I crashed. Probably because that stupid bitch kept waking me up the night before. And my neighbor's alarm clock that picked up where she left off. Of course it went off again all morning today - 6am until I left at 7:45. It might still be going now. But I did something about it. I left this note at the mailboxes this morning:

Whoever has the alarm clock that goes off ALL morning, every morning, PLEASE, PLEASE do something about it. I can't tell where it's coming from but it wakes me up and keeps me up. Thanks.

I figured that was about as firm as I could be without coming off like a total bitch. This alarm clock shit has been going on since before Ahren left, so at least eight days now, so I don't think it's some kid on spring break who's not home to monitor the alarm clock. I think it's one of three possibilities:
1. Someone moved their stuff in but hasn't moved his or herself in yet.
2. This neighbor wakes up and leaves before the alarm starts going off.
3. I have a dead neighbor.
The building doesn't smell bad so I don't think it's the third thing, but I'm not sure what it could be. I seriously doubt this neighbor is home while the alarm goes off. Anyway if my note doesn't take care of it, I'll call the HOA tomorrow.

But this is supposed to be a post about good things. The good thing about that is that I did something about it. So, yay.

Other good things:
Got my Girlyman CD yesterday! It's everything I'd hoped it would be and more. Whenever I get new music, my preferences evolve like this: the first songs that grab me are the fun, upbeat ones. I listen to those a little bit more than the others at first, but I do listen to the whole CD through a few times before playing the repeat and skipping tracks game. I eventually tire of the peppiness and skip instead to the slow, ballady songs, dwelling on those for a while. Eventually I take the CD out of my player and bring back all the variety that's been on hold as I bond with my new music, and when it comes back into the regular rotation, I listen to the whole thing without favoring any tracks. Right now I'm loving "Hold it All at Bay" and "Through to Sunrise" the most, but the whole CD just makes my world right now.

While drinking a Slim Fast shake this morning, I noticed that the words "Serve Chilled" are stamped across the top of the can. Serve? As if I'm going to have a dinner party with beverage options of iced tea, fruit punch, water, and diet shakes? What's wrong with "Refrigerate"? That gets the point across adequately, I do believe. So that amused me today.

Other good news is Girlyman tomorrow, but honestly I just got some bad news via email and I'm kind of off this good things kick all of a sudden. I'll try to be back later with more.

Oh one last thing though - the new jeans I just bought are too big already. Yay:)

Peace.
