Mar. 19th, 2007 07:06 amIt's going to be a long day, but if I can make it to the end of it, I'll be very handsomely rewarded. Come on, time. Do your thing and pass quickly.
First order of joy and excitement: Emily G is back in town from Germany. Hopefully she will want to do lunch with me today.
Second order of joy and excitement: Ahren has spent his last night in St. Louis and will make his way home sometime today. He's got to drop someone off in DC, but will be here in Charlottesville approximately 13-14 hours after he leaves St. Louis. He's on central time, though, so they'll probably sleep until checkout time, which is probably 11, so noon here, so I can expect to see him sometime in the wee hours.
So. What to do to pass the time until then? I have a 7pm appointment at my gym, so I'm thinking my day looks something like this:
get up very soon
work (mornings are busy so I know time will at least pass swiftly until noon)
lunch with my li'l sis, hopefully, if she's not too jet lagged or otherwise engaged
I actually have a lot on my schedule this week at work, so maybe I'll be motivated to do some of that stuff this afternoon and time will continue to pass quickly, though I'm not so daft as to actually rely on that. Afternoons are always slow for me.
Early dinner at home so it's nice and digested before I go to the gym, maybe watch a few episodes of Scrubs until I leave.
Gym from 7-8ish
After the gym I'll hopefully be good and tired and able to go right to bed. Maybe shower first. This should be the last night that I go to sleep in an empty house for a while, and if all goes according to schedule, it won't be empty when I wake up. Have I mentioned yet that I have missed my bridge partner tremendously? I'm so glad these last two weeks are behind me; now I'm praying to get through the day.
Peace.
