jianantonicThis week has really turned around, in every possible sense. It went from cold and dreary to beautiful weather; I went from sad and bitchy to cheerful and pleasant, borderline giddy; and work went from boring and overwhelming to just plain calm. Oh, and I went from healthy to sick. That's the bad part. But I'm okay.
I think tonight that I will try to go to the gym and do as much as I can without making myself sicker - probably just light weightlifting (arms) and maybe just walking on the treadmill or biking. Then I've got a few errands to run. I think Ahren has plans tonight, so I can take care of the girly business of underwear shopping while he's out throwing back some beers with friends. It's gotta be done.
Tomorrow it's off to Lancaster, where the weather looks to be slightly less fantastic, but not awful. I bought two new sundresses last night. They're so cute it hurts. If it's 55 and rainy, would it be wrong to wear them this weekend? I'll think about it.
Last night I did take Ahren to the mall with me, and he was an amazingly good sport about it. He helped me pick out two dresses (and put up with me while I tried on 30 of them), and then we picked up some new dress shirts for him. When we got to bridge, he didn't have a partner, and I was supposed to play with Ann. The director, Paul, didn't have a partner, so I asked Ann if she didn't mind playing with him (they play often) so I could play with Ahren. But that was a problem, because Ahren and I ALWAYS dress up when we play together, and we were not dressed up at all. No problem! We still had our loot from the mall in the car, so we just changed. A good thing, too - we had a solid game and finished second. It would've been first place, I'm sure, had we not both been wearing sneakers with our outfits. Oh well. We won't wear sneakers this weekend.
And the Friday afternoon countdown is under way...peace.
